By Kaylee C. Did you know that Apr. 28 at 6:00 is Open House? Parents can see their child’s work and get to know how they are doing at school. Students can also see the work of students from other grades and look forward to what they would be doing next year. There will also be a book fair throughout the week, so be sure to get cool books there during lunchtime, afterschool, and during Open House! |

A few weeks ago, as the lower grades came to school, all of the 5th graders set off to the Griffith Observatory. Naturally, when you say observatory, you would think that there would be a telescope, and there was. The fifth graders got to go up to the top of the Observatory and see the telescope, and had a tour on the whole observatory, while learning many things about science. They got to see a presentation on how to make a comet, weighed themselves on scales to see how much they would weigh on different planets, and finally went into the planetarium to explore outer space! It's a field trip that all of the 5th graders were excited to experience. A big thank you to Gabriel S. and Jonathan L. for our Media Club Blog's new look! Both students worked hard at developing our own logo (in the masthead above) and working with Weebly to adapt the template.
What do you think of our new digs?
