Our character trait of the month is GENEROSITY. This months book is The Story Blanket by Ferida Wolff and Harriet May Savitz. The book’s amazing pictures are illustrated by Elena Odriozola. The book was about an elderly woman named Babba Zarrah lives in a tiny village in the snow-covered mountains. The children love to visit her and when they do, they sit on her big, old story blanket, where she she tells imaginative stories. One day, she noticed that Nikolai needs new socks, but she had no wool to knit with. Then, she noticed she could use the story blanket for some wool. She decides to make other things for the other villagers. The children realized that the blanket was getting smaller and smaller, until there was barely any story blanket. Babba Zarrah once told the children, "Every problem has an answer."
