A few weeks ago, as the lower grades came to school, all of the 5th graders set off to the Griffith Observatory.
Naturally, when you say observatory, you would think that there would be a telescope, and there was. The fifth graders got to go up to the top of the Observatory and see the telescope, and had a tour on the whole observatory, while learning many things about science. They got to see a presentation on how to make a comet, weighed themselves on scales to see how much they would weigh on different planets, and finally went into the planetarium to explore outer space!
It's a field trip that all of the 5th graders were excited to experience.
