On January 20th, the 4th grade classes went on a field trip to the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles.
When we got there, we went to find our seats right away and the music started. In the middle of the performance, a man named “Dude” interrupted the show. He was a performer who was acting as a former surfer who wanted to be transported to the ocean. He claimed that the newspaper said that the music of the Walt Disney Concert Hall would take him to the ocean.
Another performer, a kind lady named Carmen reassured Dude that the music could transport him to the ocean. Each of the instruments in the orchestra represented a part of the ocean. For example, the cello represented the thunder. In the end, Dude believed that the music could in fact transport him and take him to other places. The Coolidge students also felt that music could move them. We all had a fun time at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.
